Tom Evangelista specializes in restructuring, repositioning, and enhancing company and product/brand  portfolios. Both as an operating executive and consultant, he has grown businesses profitably, creating significant stakeholder value and wealth in the process. He is recognized as a strategist and solutions-focused leader, skilled at driving results through pragmatic operational initiatives. He has demonstrated repeated success building brand equity, revenue, market share, profit, and cash flow.

Tom has held marketing, finance, and strategy/corporate development (M&A) positions at several global and respected companies, including General Foods, Richardson-Vicks (P&G), PepsiCo, AMF, Enesco Group (formerly Stanhome) and Philips Electronics.  He was also a marketing and strategy consultant for Marketing Corporation of America, and President of Wyngate Partners, an advisory firm whose specialty is launching and building businesses, for domestic and international clientele.

As a Corporate Officer of Stanhome, Inc., he was instrumental in building the company organically and via a series of acquisitions, from $400 to $850 million in revenue, making it a member of the Fortune 500.  He subsequently divested $350 million in marginally profitable businesses, and repositioned the company with a singular market focus, which resulted in a $100 million increase in market capitalization.

He has increased competitive advantage and market presence, generating sustainable quality growth. His strategic initiatives have included new products and services, new advertising, and more compelling product/value propositions. He has also increased asset utilization, and has successfully reduced time to market introduction, as well as costs, without compromising quality, image or effectiveness.

Tom has also been a Senior Consultant with Cambridge Advisors to Family Enterprise, an international consulting firm that counsels large, family owned businesses and family enterprises, and a Facilitator at Harvard Business School’s executive education program Families in Business:From Generation to Generation, which examines pivotal issues facing family businesses.

Tom was born and raised in New York, and currently resides in Simsbury, CT. He graduated from The State University of New York (at Stony Brook), and earned his MBA from Columbia University.
