Peter Lynch is a Principal of NextGen Marketing Group™. He is an innovator who previously served as a marketing and operations officer in public companies and as a strategic leader and product visionary for several start-ups. He exercises wide marketing expertise and business development acumen when analyzing the challenges of client company growth and who draws upon strong management experience when facing up to the resistance and inertia that can deter the implementation of improvements and solutions.

In 1985 he accepted an assignment from his employer Cablevision to support the launch of a pioneering U.K. cable television start-up which turned into an 11 year residency in the U.K. with senior leadership positions in multiple communication ventures. As the CEO of Britannia Cablesystems, he orchestrated the strategy and led the go-to-market launch for the convergence of voice and video. After achieving favorable test market results in Portsmouth, England, Britannia was successfully sold to the “baby bell” NYNEX. Mr. Lynch joined NYNEX as Executive Director - Marketing and built a full function marketing department that delivered research and planning, competitive analysis, pricing, product development, product management, sales channel development, brand management, sales promotion, marketing communications and cable programming acquisition.

Upon returning to the States, he joined People’s Choice TV (PCTV), and became the head of marketing, sales and operations. He spearheaded change management and product development at PCTV which resulted in the company evolving into a wireless, broadband ISP and digital television provider. After achieving solid test market deployments in Phoenix and Detroit, PCTV was profitably sold to Sprint.

He continued his work with strategy and in business development and product development as the President of a start-up broadband competitive telephone provider, Chairman of an innovative antenna manufacturer, and Chief Operating Officer of a system integrator and OEM of digital video streaming and recording products. Each of these assignments grew his appreciation for the methods, procedures and philosophy of structured project management to improve the processes of product development, market launches and marketing campaigns. To pursue his interest, he became a member of Project Management Institute and earned his certification as a project management professional (PMP).

After college, Peter developed his initial “campaign” expertise not in marketing goods and services but in marketing politicians. Before entering the world of business, he was an “advance man” who developed political support and publicity by organizing public events and press appearances for Massachusetts Governor Michael S. Dukakis, Vice-President Walter Mondale and President Jimmy Carter. He worked assignments across the U.S.A. and had international assignments in Norway, Panama and Niger. Of late, he has confined his political activism to voting.

Peter is a graduate of Boston College with a BA in Economics. He and his wife Susan are the proud parents of three children.
